Sharp in design and very 21st century, the ESSE 155 reflects the ‘clean in design and clean in use’ principles of ESSE founder James Smith when he made his first ESSE stove back in 1854. The ESSE 155 uses our patented Particulate Reburn™ Technology, essentially the combination of a particle filter and a catalytic combustor, designed to provide more heat and reduce emissions. A manual bypass control ensures easy lighting and easy refuelling. The 155 has a narrow front to back design, perfect for sitting on shallow hearths.
